Hard Boiled Quail Eggs with Caviar

Recipe by

12 Quail Eggs

Pot of lumpfish roe

  1. First thing you need to do is check for cracked eggs.
  2. Then soak your eggs in warm water for a few minutes and clean.
  3. Place your eggs in a pot and cover eggs with 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar.
  4. The vinegar makes the shells soft and easy to peel.
  5. Once the liquid just starts to boil, start timing for 5 minutes.
  6. Put the eggs into a few changes of cold water to cool them down when the boiling time is up.
  7. Once cooled start peeling, rinse and allowed to dry on a paper towel. Store in Refrigerator until ready to use.
  8. When ready to prepare cut in half lengthways and put a little caviar on top.

This method of boiling in half vinegar / half water slightly dissolves the shells and makes peeling them much easier than usual
